4 post car lifts 07

Automotive lift is one of the common equipment in car repair shops. It can lift the car to a certain height from the ground, so that repair personnel can enter the bottom of the car to work, or remove the tire, four-wheel alignment, and other work. Automotive lift brings great convenience to repair work. In addition, it is cheap and easy to use. Therefore, there is a demand for lifts from large car 4S shops to small roadside repair stalls, even oil shops and car washes.

Working principle of automotive lift

There are two types of automotive lifts, and different types have different structures and working principles:

  1. Mechanical Automotive lift

Mechanical lifts mainly include single-motor driven screw drive lifts and dual-motor driven screw drive lifts. Mechanical lifts were popular between 1992 and 1998. This type of lift is characterized by good synchronization. Since it is generally driven by a motor and screw drive, it does not have the problem of oil leakage and pollution, and the self-locking protection is simple and easy. However, due to the high maintenance cost of mechanical wear (the copper gong nut and bearings often need to be replaced), the maintenance and replacement of a lift costs about 1,000 yuan per year, and customers will eventually replace the product with a hydraulic lift with low maintenance cost.

  1. Hydraulic Automotive lift

The main component of the hydraulic automotive lift is the hydraulic system. When the start motor button on the hydraulic is pressed, the motor starts, drives the oil pump, and pressurizes the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic oil tank into the cylinder to move the piston rod. At this time, the overflow valve is closed to ensure the rated load requirements of the lifting. The pressure has been adjusted before leaving the factory. When the pressure in the system exceeds the limit, the oil is automatically overflowed to prevent safety accidents. Release the start button, stop the oil supply, the lifting is over, and the operation begins. If it descends, pull the two mechanical safety locks on the slide, press the manual valve, and start to unload the oil and descend. The characteristics of the hydraulic lift are stability, low noise, and strong power. The disadvantage is that it is easy to leak oil after a long time of use, which pollutes the working environment. However, the maintenance cost of hydraulic lifts is low, and the cylinder can be used for 5-10 years. In addition, as far as the development trend of lifts is concerned, it must be developed in the direction of safety, simplicity, long service life, low noise, and low price. Therefore, hydraulic lifts will definitely be the mainstream of the future lift market.

There are two types of hydraulic lifts: one is a single-cylinder lift and the other is a double-cylinder lift.

The advantages of single-cylinder hydraulic lifts are: good synchronization, no bumping phenomenon, with a thick bottom plate, the torque of the lift is offset by the bottom plate, easy to level, good safety of the whole machine, suitable for places with poor foundations.

Double-cylinder lifts are divided into two types: gantry lifts and thin-floor lifts. Because they are double-cylinder, the synchronization problem is difficult to solve, and they are often balanced by two steel ropes. The cylinder and the steel rope must be adjusted to the same tightness so that the lift can be synchronized.
